Our program, Accelerated Piano and Guitar Lab, is ideal for helping students of various abilities and skill levels to advance quickly through their books at a much faster rate than traditional lessons.
When parents enroll in the Accelerated (Piano, Drums, Voice or Guitar) Lab at our academy, their child doesn’t just get to take lessons and learn songs. They get to experience a new language, the language of music! We strive to make this experience exciting for them and draw out their natural curiosity as they learn more and more.
Many parents have taken some sort of piano lessons in Gastonia or guitar lessons when they were a child. Typically structured very much like all the other subjects they were learning in school…..and it wasn’t designed to be fun! That’s not the case here! Our method helps prevent boredom. The child keeps moving along from one song to the next...all while increasing their confidence as they boost their skills. Many children in traditional music lessons quit for several reasons. One of those reasons is that they are frustrated. Those classes bombard them with music facts and don’t focus on creativity, music appreciation, and enjoying music! We’ve addressed that very problem and have a solution with the Accelerated Lessons Lab!
Here’s what to expect when students begin lessons with us:
Get through their first lesson book in about 4 months, which is faster than the publisher's average rate
Sight read and use rhythm immediately, so they can understand music better
Learn at least one new song (usually several songs) each week
Leave their lesson feeling confident about the music they are learning
No need to go out and purchase books from a store or online. You can purchase directly at the academy. We know that Instruments can be an investment! If you are looking to purchase, we provide a PDF guide to help find the perfect keyboard, guitar, or drum set for your family.
During your child’s first (no cost) introductory lesson, they get to start playing music right away...and learn a few songs! We also give a short introduction to how the instrument works. We talk about reading music as well as use of rhythm. At the end of this lesson, parents look at the calendar and find a time that works best for their schedule for future lessons.
